Texas Commission Approves Contract for I&I Project

City commissioners in Leavenworth, Texas, approved a design contract for a sanitary sewer inflow & infiltration project. Construction for the project will take place in 2018 and cost between $350,000 and $500,000.


I&I Issues Revealed with Sewage System Study

The Albright (West Virginia) Town Council received a preliminary report showing 34 inflow & infilatration problem areas in its sewer system. Smoke testing revealed several open sewer connections in buildings as a result of a 1985 flood.


Flood-Control Project to Reduce I&I Problems Awarded in Ohio

The Mentor (Ohio) City Council authorized a restoration improvement project to provide additional stormwater management. The $4.6 million project will reduce inflow & infiltration issues and reduce flood elevations by 4 feet downstream of the project.
